Sai Suma
Suma is a photographer herself, but this time she was on the other side of the camera, pregnant with her first child, modeling for Chiffon and Spice. What started as a maternity shoot turned into a mix of fashion and portrait shots.

She walked in slightly unsure about the whole thing and then gave me this in about four minutes.

I like portraits where the subject is clearly in the middle of a life rather than in the middle of a photoshoot. This one felt like I'd wandered into a moment instead of building one.

Different setup entirely. Ivory chikankari against red brick, veil lifted and caught mid air, and she's looking down and away with a small smile. The color contrast is doing most of the work here... warm brick, cool white tulle, nothing in between.
